Step by Step

Cook the pasta al dente. Bring cream to a boil briefly.

Make a cheese sauce with cream and grated cheese. Turn the heat down to medium and add a portion of the grated cheese mixture.

Whisk the cheese into the cream until thick and creamy.

Season to taste with salt, pepper and a little paprika.

Heat the sauce through carefully while stirring continuously.

Put the cooked pasta in a deep, greased industrial baking tray.

Combine pasta and sauce in a baking tray.

Coat the pasta thoroughly with the cheese sauce.

Top with breadcrumbs

Then add more cheese.

Preheat a salamander oven or grill. Grill until golden and crispy.

Portion and plate. Use a large serving spoon to serve individual portions of the mac and cheese. Place the portions gently on preheated plates so that they retain their shape.

Garnish with cherry tomatoes sautéed in maple syrup.
