French Toast

Ingredients

200 ml Oldenburger Fullcream Milk
3 eggs
1 sachet vanilla sugars
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp untreated lemon zest
2 tbsp flour
4 slices of bread for toasting
3 tbsp Oldenburger Butter unsalted
some cinnamon and maple syrup as preferred

  1. Whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla sugar, lemon zest and sugar. Fold in the flour and pour the mixture into a shallow casserole dish. Soak slices of bread in the egg mixture and allow excess to drip off.
  2. Heat butter in a frying pan per portion. Fry slices of bread in butter for approx. 3 minutes on each side. 
  3. Serve immediately. Serve with: cinnamon and sugar and/or 1 tbsp maple syrup
