Oldenburger Edam is a classic mild cheese. The handy slices make it the perfect topping on bread. Furthermore it is a tasty snack for in between or on an attractive cheese platter. Its excellent melting abilities make it the aromatic garnish for several warm meals such as casseroles. Cheese should be eaten at room temperature to allow its full flavour to unfurl.
Edam is a perfect alternative with less fat comparing with Gouda and offers versitale applications for various cold and warm dishes. Very convienet and easy to handle due to shingled pre packed slices.
