Good, creative, tasty bread, besides being an ideal starter for welcoming guests, also has the advantage of requiring only a few basic ingredients, namely water, flour, yeast and salt.
Spices can also be added to pep it up.
Tip: let the dough rise as long as possible, not baking it until the day it will actually be needed. This makes sure that the bread is not only flavourful but also easy to digest.
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Sift and add the flour and the rest of the ingredients (except the lime oil) and work the mixture into dough. Then quickly blend in the lime oil and let rise for 30 minutes. Knead throughly and let rise once again. Shape as wished and spread out on an oiled baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes at 225°C.
