Milkshakes can be served in a million enticing ways. In this recipe cooled milk is combined with the natural goodness of sweet bananas and tangy lemons. A wonderful sweet treat with only very little added sugar – the sweetness comes from the ripe bananas. This banana milkshake makes for a refreshing drink or special treat at any time of the day and is a luscious alternative to a banana lassi. Fresh, ripe mango, papaya, pineapple or peaches can also be used very successfully for a scrumptious fruity milkshake.
INSTRUCTIONS
Very ripe bananas are all the better for a milkshake – making it unbelievably smooth and full of natural sweetness
Preparation
Peel bananas and cut roughly into pieces. Cut lemons in half and squeeze, removing any pips.
The Blending
Purée bananas in blender with lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon until very smooth. Then add Oldenburger Fullcream Milk and blend well for one minute, turning to highest speed at the end for extra froth.
The Final Touch
Pour into 4 glasses, add wide straws and serve immediately.
